Stirling: After Party

August 26, 10 //

Back to Scotland now.

After the garden tea party, we walked through beautiful, scenic neighbourhoods to Stirling’s Top of the Town and did a little window shopping.  Our last and most anticipated stop:  No. 2 Baker Street for my first taste of Guinness EXTRA Cold. There should be no other kind.

(The kid on the cell phone was so enthusiastically yelling, it made us laugh).

A & J

August 21, 10 //

After turning the rain switch off, we had a fun time shooting these at Gairloch Gardens.

Just a touch

August 9, 10 //

Besides red, a touch of pink works just as well. As seen around Argyle St. and Sloans Market in Glasgow.

yolk

August 6, 10 //

Found these in the Foodhogger archives, when we had a cooking demo from the executive chef of Spencer’s, Chris Haworth.

Love the yellow of the yolk.

N’awlins

August 6, 10 //

While I get my act together to upload Scotland and Paris photos, I thought I’d do a post on New Orleans, from summer ’08.

Crooked

July 30, 10 //

I know the top one is crooked; I attribute that to taking most of my India photographs from within a moving vehicle with closed windows. It wasn’t considered safe stopping and getting out to take photographs.

I like how these two work together.

Ladies

July 28, 10 //

Love the expression on these women’s faces.

Monkeys

July 13, 10 //

Monkeys are abundant in India, roaming freely around streets and temples; and sometimes used as entertainment in monkey shows.

This was a bit of a sad sight on Marine Drive in Bombay.

In Jaipur,  at the Jaigarh Fort, monkeys were simply hanging about in trees and walking along the tops of the palace walls.

They look cute, but apparently wreck havoc in the city. Read this story on the monkeys of Jaipur, it’s quite alarming.  It can’t be easy living with these creatures, but because monkeys are considered sacred, they cannot be harmed and are dealt with by monkey-catchers!

Birthdays

July 7, 10 //

My friend A’s and my birthday are two days apart so we decided to celebrate them ogether this year. At the spa and out to dinner with friends.

The Hiddema’s

June 20, 10 //

We did a shoot at the Music Garden by the water on Saturday with the lovely Hiddema’s. You may remember them from their baby shower not too long ago! In fact their baby Jasmine is all of four months old now and is just adorable! Her beautiful laugh and cheery desposition kept us happy throughout the shoot (and into lunch); what a trooper. She didn’t make a fuss or cry ONCE all day! The lovely P & A were a treat for us to capture. Thank you so much for all the support you two! We had so much fun with you guys and look forward to watching baby Jasmine grow! We hope you love these as much as we do! xo
